The Oakland Magic Circle is the oldest independent magic club west of the Mississippi, operating non-stop since 1925.

2025 was the Oakland Magic Circle’s 100th Anniversary that featured a stellar line-up of great programs for both bay area and more distant members. Members also received video of lectures by Jonathan Pendragon, Michael Nguyen, John Gardinier, Nathaniel Segal, Olivier Redon, Katy Grabel, a Jeff McBride documentary, the 2025 Northern California Stage Contest, Close-Up Contest, Gala Show, Apparatus Night, and more.

The OMC’s 101th Anniversary- 2026 dues are $25.00 good through December, 2026 (including December, 2025 for early submissions).
Youth Membership- 14-year-olds and under: $10

Even if you have paid you cannot become a full member until you have sent in the application.
You can pay your dues the same day as you send in the application via Zelle (our preference) or PayPal (now charging a fee).

Your modest dues (we have kept them low for years) help us:
-Present monthly events including lectures, contests, in-person meetings,our auction/flea market, two dinner shows, renting a meeting hall with a fully equipped stage, increasing our fantastic library, all while providing a forum for local magicians to meet and share.
We are also able to offer excellent cash prizes for winners at our three annual contests.
It isn’t just about paying your dues but helping build our club.
